April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month

Stewards of Children Training

A free 2-hour prevention training program that teaches adults how to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. It is the only nationally distributed, evidence-based program proven to increase knowledge, improve attitudes, and change child protective behaviors.

For the month of April, blue pinwheel gardens will grace the yards of several local businesses, organizations, and community members in honor of National Child Abuse Prevention month. Join Prevention Coordinator, Becky Rials, and Maryville Police School Resource Officer, Raymond Barnhart, at Artistic Bean Maryville to learn more about the importance of child abuse prevention. Officer Barnhart will be available to speak on the subject “Digital Natives – Parenting in a Digital World”. Drop in any time between 5:00 and 7:00 pm!

Painting with a Purpose

Our gracious host, Cindy McDannel of Paint the Town w/Purpose, will give back $10.00 of the $35.00 fee to New Hope.
