We had a full nest here at New Hope on Saturday! 🪺

It was an honor to host New Hope's 2023 Board of Directors for our annual retreat. During their time with us, we had a fun "speed dating" icebreaker, hosted a special tour with staff, reviewed our strategic plan and how everyone can support those goals, and discussed lots of opportunities for growth, engagement, and support. What an amazing group of people who serve on our Board...it would be impossible to do what we do without them.

The quote we kept coming back to was from Hellen Keller: "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." How true. Here's to another year of working together to support the most vulnerable in our community. 🫱🏼‍🫲🏻
There is no better way to start off a Friday than There is no better way to start off a Friday than by giving a huge thank you to a beloved member of our Board of Directors, Vice President Lindsey Plyler.👏🏼

This month Lindsey requested three grants on our behalf, all of which gained acceptance by the State Farm Charities Foundation! When asked to describe her heart for our organization she stated, "From the moment I was introduced to New Hope I felt a need to advocate for them because of their mission to help abused children. The work that New Hope does is vital to the children of our community, and I knew that even if it was in a small way, I wanted to be a part of that."

We are honored to receive these grants and are thankful for the efforts that help further our mission in Blount County! 🤩
A special thank you to these ladies for letting us A special thank you to these ladies for letting us show them around this morning! 🥰

We love members of the community who are eager to see the ins and outs of what makes New Hope so special for children! We are especially grateful for school counselors, like the two women on the left, who are passionate about their job and want more information about our services.

We have plenty of tours available if you or someone you know is interested in learning more. Follow the link in our bio to get connected!📲

Because of the generosity of our donors and supporters, New Hope was able to serve 725 children in 2022. This is a staggering number that continues to rise from year to year, but we are grateful for the support we have received from the community so that this needed work continues.

In the past 12 months, we have:
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 725 children served
🤲🏼 2000+ volunteer hours
🎟 134 tour attendees
📚 1,092 adults trained in prevention

Once again, THANK YOU for being generous and really showing up for the most vulnerable in our Blount County community.💙

We could not be more thrilled to have Lisa Klein as our newest Child and Family Advocate. Post graduation, she spent her time caring for those with developmental disabilities, conducting intensive in-home treatment counseling, and advocating for animals through the Humane Society.

We are looking forward to seeing her passion grow at New Hope by helping children and their families to live the best lives possible!

We are so thankful for @tristarpt’s donation to New Hope and are thrilled to be located beside a business who has the same heart for our mission as we do.

We appreciate their generosity in helping us send each child home with a smile when they walk out of our doors!
We are always looking to get better here at New Ho We are always looking to get better here at New Hope. One way we do that is through peer reviews! ✨

We participate multiple times per year with other forensic interviewers at Children’s Advocacy Centers in our surrounding area. We travel to each other’s centers to network, share learning experiences and challenges, and review interviews in a professional and confidential setting. This is a time for our forensic interview team to discuss research, best practices, and training opportunities specific to their role.

Peer review helps ensure the best quality, reinforces best practices, and provides support and problem-solving techniques for our team. Thank you to these ladies pictured for coming out to New Hope yesterday and helping us raise the bar!

We couldn’t be more excited to introduce our new Marketing & Events Coordinator, Katelyn Witucki! Katelyn will be focusing on day-to-day marketing activations, promoting our tours, coordinating fundraising events, and more. She is passionate about our mission and is ready to hit the ground running.

We’re excited to partner with her and expand our footprint in Blount County. Please help us extend a warm welcome to Katelyn in the comments below! 👇🏻
