November: A Time for Awareness & Hope
Happy End of October (even though it doesn’t feel like it)!
There are so many opportunities coming up in the next month to support New Hope and the children that we serve!
Apart from our annual Black Tie Blue Jean Gala, we have a few new events that we are so, very excited to share with you.
Starting November 1st until November 12th, Vienna Coffee House will host Prevention from Where I Sit to honor World Day for the Prevention of Child Abuse.
Local Blount County artists will provide a piece of work centered on child abuse prevention from the artist’s point of view. We’re so thankful to our talented community members for donating and displaying their work for advocacy! Be sure to stop in during the first half of November to see their work and learn what child abuse prevention looks like.
November 19th is the World Day for the Prevention of Child Abuse. To honor this day, we, along with Vienna Coffee House and Paint the Town, will be hosting Coffee & Canvas. Starting at 6 pm, please join us for an evening of painting, discussion, and fabulously delicious coffee. We can most certainly ensure that you will be learning something!
Painting is $35 dollars per person, and if you’re interested in after-coffee-and-desserts, please add another $5. We only have 20 spots available for this evening, so secure your spot soon to enjoy a night of artistry—paint, coffee, and food! Please visit our website for updates and more information. This year at Black Tie Blue Jean Gala, help us to light a path of change. As many of you know, we serve a heart breaking number of children at the Children’s Advocacy Center. In order to honor the 400+ children that we have served just this year, we will have a Reflection Walk leading up to the Gala.
