World Day for the Prevention of Child Abuse is an annual awareness day that is held on November 19th. In our efforts to honor this day in 2015 we, New Hope partnered with Maryville College’s International House to bring the children at the MLK Center a multicultural experience. Nine countries were represented at this event by international students from Maryville College. They shared information about their home country and family life in their culture. Food, activities, and healthy tips on staying safe were also part of the event.
